The Hanna Chromium VI Low-Range Checker (HI749) tests for the presence of Chromium VI (Hexavalent Chromium) in concentrations within the range of 0 to 300 ppb with an accuracy of ±3 ppb in samples such as drinking water and wastewater. With a digital readout, Hanna Checkers provide greater measurement accuracy when compared with chemical test kits that rely on human perception of color.

The HI749 Checker® HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost-effective way to measure chromium VI. Due to its corrosion-resistant properties, hexavalent chromium plays an important part in the plating industry and cooling towers. However, due to its toxic and carcinogenic nature, chromium VI must be must be sufficiently treated prior to wastewater discharge. Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI749 provides quick, accurate results in four easy steps.
